Brother Ron Fender

I celebrate the publication of this book. Homelessness is a national disgrace and is truly America's "dirty little secret". This book is a powerful testament to the humanity that lives in unspeakable poverty, degradation and need. As one who works in the trenches, I thank you for giving a voice to those who the men. women and children on the streets. They are the ones who have no voice; they are the ones we pass by and hope that we never meet their eyes. They are the ones who haunt our dreams. I hope this book will inspire us to become the America we have not been, a land of common good, and justice for all.

Brother Ron Fender, BSG " My life flows on in endless song above earth's lamentation. I hear the real, tho far-off hymn that hails a new creation. Thru all the tumult and the strife I hear that music ringing. It sounds an echo in my soul. How can I keep from singing?"
